The Community Awareness Resource Package (CARP)

Interested in starting your own conservation based Co-existing with Coyotes Program?

The Vancouver Co-existing with Coyotes (CwC) program has been successfully operating as a long-term proactive coyote management provider to local residents for over 10 years.  We would like to share our effective education and communication approach with other North American communities experiencing coyote/human conflict.

The Community Awareness Resource Package (CARP) is a comprehensive coyote resource package that can be used by municipalities and organizations throughout North America to start up their own coyote education program.  CARP contains both the educational and communication components of the outreach program including effective coyote management techniques, classroom resources, and signage and other print media.

It is our hope that your municipality recognizes that coexistence is the only feasible long-term option in dealing with urban coyotes and that you can use CARP as a tool towards implementing a Co-existing with Coyotes education program in your area.

The minimal charge for the resource package does not reflect the hundreds of hours that have gone into creating and testing the resource materials over many years, but it has been set to encourage the accessibility of the materials.  Specific package components can be separated and/or shared to accommodate cost sharing amongst interested stakeholders.

We would be pleased to provide you with further statistics and reports on the effectiveness of our CwC program, as well as to discuss how CwC can benefit your community and its residents.
